VBSD to accept Attendance Area Exception applications beginning March 1

The Van Buren School District will begin accepting applications for Attendance Area Exceptions for the 2022-2023 school year on Tuesday, March 1.

Applications may be printed from the Van Buren School District website. The form is also available at all VBSD elementary schools, middle schools, and the VBSD Administration Office, located at 2221 Pointer Trail East.

Completed Attendance Area Exception forms must be returned to the school where students are requesting to attend. Parents may also email completed applications to the building principal of the requested school. The application deadline is April 15, 2022.

While VBSD seeks to accommodate families and their attendance preferences, parents should note that completing an area exception application does not guarantee it will be approved. Applications are on a first come, first serve basis and approvals are dependent on space in the school requested. If an area exception is approved, parents are responsible for transporting their child to and from school. Bus transportation will not be provided.
